Bid Breakdown Selection via Slicer

Could the Bid Breakdown data in Accubid Anywhere be made selectable through a slicer? It would be extremely helpful if users could filter by [Project], [Estimate], [Bid Summary], and [Bid Breakdown] when reviewing estimate data and comparing it across multiple estimates.

    Hey Austin.

Thanks for the reply. You were exactly right. I had a slicer that was filtering out many of the status options.

    Thanks!

    Hey, Chad -

Yeah of course! Those values for Estimate Status are not being filtered as they come in by us, so whatever statuses you see in the data will be reflective of the statuses it's picking up from Accubid Anywhere.

I'm wondering if you have a filter on your report somewhere that could be causing those other statuses to not show up? I just went in to test a brand new report in your environment and I see statuses such as Second, Submitted, Awarded, and Cancelled - not third, or lost, though, so perhaps there's no data with those statuses right now?

Double check you don't have a filter on the page / a specific visual. Or, sometimes I just like to create a new page from scratch if I really need to backtrack (p.s. you can CTRL + C & CTRL + V visuals over from page to page if you don't want to recreate everything. Just know if it is a pesky filter, it'll paste over to the new page too).

    Hi Austin,

Thanks for adding the Is Base Bid field — that helps me isolate the data I need.

I do have a question about the Estimate Status field. In Power BI, I only see Budget, First, Other, and Pending. However, Accubid Anywhere includes additional statuses such as Second, Third, Submitted, Lost, Awarded, and Cancelled.

Is it possible to capture all of these statuses in Power BI?

    Thanks,
    Chad

Thanks for the context, Chad. The "Prepare for Handoff" workflow will be changed where it doesn't require it be checked for data to be visible. It will be a field option you can use as a slicer to check / uncheck.

Additionally - Bid Summary will also be added as a new field for you to use as a slicer.

Those will both be added quite soon🙂

    Good morning, Austin,

I don't believe the field I'm looking for is currently available. At the moment, I have to expand each estimate and use the "Prepare for Handoff" function to view the Bid Summary information in TC1 Analytics. Unfortunately, this locks the estimate.

Could you make the Bid Summary available as a slicer? This would allow us to filter the data by [Project], [Estimate], and Bid Summary.

Note: The Prepare for Handoff process is helpful because it lets us clearly "mark" the Bid Summary we want included in TC1 Analytics. As an alternative, could the analytics pull from the "Is Base Bid" Bid Summary? That would give us the same control without freezing the estimate.

    Thanks,
    Chad

Chad - based on the above comment & our conversation earlier in office hours, could you please confirm if the fields you were looking to get added (besides the concatenated ones) are already in the dataset? I want to make sure we've got all the ones you're looking for already shipped and/or planned to be shipped.

    Thanks!

You can certainly use that data available in the dataset in a slicer in the report.

You may edit the report here:

From there, you're able to customize the report however you chose with the available data.

For your question, you could add a slicer visual here:

From there, it may be easiest to use the search bar to check for the fields you'd like to add, then add them to the slicer visual:

Then you will have a new slicer with the fields you select:

Then File --> Save As to save your changes!
